ABOUT GREG

Greg's professional journey in the legal field began with an externship with the Ottawa County Prosecutor's office. After graduation, he worked as a litigator for small West Michigan firms until he founded Polaris Law in 2015. Greg’s dedication to his clients has earned him the People’s Choice Award in Grand Haven in 5 of the last 7 years.

Legal Career and Community Involvement

In recent years, Greg has extended his involvement in the political sphere. Since 2020, he has dedicated a significant amount of his free time to the Ottawa County Republican Party. He is deeply passionate about protecting constitutional rights and freedoms, which is reflected in his various roles and responsibilities within the Republican Party. Greg serves as a precinct delegate, is a member of the Ottawa County Republican Party Executive Committee, and was formerly involved in the MIGOP State Committee, where he held the position of Vice-Chair for the Policy Committee and Chair of the Rules Committee.

Political Engagement

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Greg has always been passionate about public service and community involvement. He has been an active firefighter and Emergency Medical Responder for the Crockery Township Fire Department for years, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to the safety and well-being of his community. He has also been appointed to the Board of Review in Crockery Township, further confirming his commitment to public service and community welfare. 

 

Greg's dedication to education is exemplified through his role as a teacher in the Lake Michigan Home School Co-op, where he teaches local homeschooled high schoolers. He values the pursuit of knowledge and shares his expertise with the next generation.

Greg actively participates in the Holy Name Society men's group at his church and holds the position of Secretary. He occasionally assists with executive decision-making and strategy, demonstrating his commitment to faith-based community involvement. 

Born and raised in West Michigan, Greg graduated from Grand Haven High School. He embarked on his educational journey by earning an Associates in Law Enforcement and obtaining state certification as a police officer. Greg served in various police departments, including an externship with Grand Haven Department of Public Safety, gaining valuable experience and a deep understanding of law enforcement. 

 

Early Life and Education

Driven by a commitment to academic excellence, Greg pursued higher education. He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance and Accounting from Grand Valley State University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then continued his academic journey by earning a law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, graduating Cum Laude. While at Cooley, Greg earned the distinguished privilege of being an associate editor of the school’s Law Review and a member of its national Moot Court competition team.
